Robert Parker
A blend of 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc, the 2025 Closerie de Fourtet offers up attractive aromas of cherries and dark berries, followed by a medium- to full-bodied, polished and supple palate built around lively acids. It's derived mainly from parcels richer in clay and the estate's younger vines.

The 2025 La Closerie de Fourtet is a delicious second wine. Plump, juicy and quite giving, the 2025 has a lot to offer in its dark-toned fruit, cedar, spice and tobacco notes. La Closerie is a more accessible version of the Grand Vin, with a very pretty, soft mid-palate and gorgeous fruit, but naturally more structure than its sibling. Tasted two times.

Decanter
Clean and clear aromatics, vibrant and expressive – roses, raspberries and cherries. Gorgeous chewy tannins with bright fruit, such clarity, friendly, generous and juicy acidity with a dollop of strawberry and cherry fruit on the mid palate. Ends salty and a little chalky but this will be delicious. Something very refined and hands off. Accessible and easy to like. 3.45pH. Ageing 10% new oak, 88% one and two wine barrels and 2% clay amphora. Manual pigeage for gentle extraction. No more than 24 degrees for fermentation.
