Château Hosanna
Eigenaar Moueix is ervan overtuigd dat Hosanna het potentieel heeft om de Cheval Blanc van zijn stal te worden. Onder meer als gevolg van de ruim 40 jaar oude cabernet franc-stokken vergelijkbaar met die van Cheval Blanc in Saint-Émilion. Een bijna zwarte kleur, de geweldig mooie smaak waarin witte chocolade, zwarte bessen en impressies van een bos in de herfst een onweerstaanbaar vlezige en genuanceerde wijn leveren, zijn de kenmerken van deze superster uit Pomerol.

The 2025 Hosanna is showing excellent potential, wafting from the glass with notes of wild blueberries and blackberries mingled with hints of licorice and spices. Medium- to full-bodied, deep and polished, with a cool core of fruit, ripe tannins and excellent balance and integration, it's a blend of 74% Merlot and 26% Cabernet Franc.

The 2025 Hosanna is a wild, exotic beauty. Crème de cassis, cloves, licorice, chocolate and espresso soar out of the glass, conveying tons of sheer richness and power. As is often the case, Hosanna is quite the extrovert. There is certainly no shortage of intensity here. Plush contours wrap around the flamboyant close.

Decanter
Vanilla, milk chocolate, strawberries and blackcurrants on the nose. I like the overall shape of this, it’s round with layers of tannins, acidity and fruit. Definitely a little quieter and less showy than Hosanna can normally be, a touch compact and reserved in terms of the general expression but I love the clarity of flavour – very pure and precise, focused and expressive with definition. Quite an elegant style for a wine that usually has more muscles.
