Pagodes is de tweede wijn van Cos d'Estournel en wordt op dezelfde schitterende locatie gemaakt als Cos zelf. Pagodes is een toegankelijkere versie van Cos d'Estournel en doet in kwaliteit niet onder voor een gemiddelde Grand Cru Classé. Veel zwart fruit en bosvruchten in de neus met een aangenaam rokerig tintje.

The 2024 Les Pagodes de Cos wafts from the glass with aromas of dark berries, licorice and nicely integrated oak. Medium to full-bodied, polished and suave, it's impressively rich and layered for the vintage, with beautifully integrated tannins and acidity.

The 2024 Les Pagodes de Cos is terrific. Medium in body and vibrant, the 2024 is impeccable. Blackberry, spice, leather, menthol and chocolate open gradually. A wine of balance and harmony, the 2024 is super-elegant. I find the less bombastic style here vis-à-vis the past quite interesting.

Quite a brooding wine for the vintage, with lots of bold tannins. Full-bodied and tannic, with good structure and a mid-palate that's slightly weaker than the tannins. Compact, with a medium-long finish. 50% merlot., 43% cabernet sauvignon, 5% cabernet franc and 2% petit verdot.
