The 2021 La Clarté de Haut-Brion offers up a floral, lively bouquet with aromas of lemon, white flowers, herbs and menthol, followed by a medium to full-bodied, tense and precise palate that segues into a saline, fresh and penetrating finish. This is a blend of 55% Sémillon and 45% Sauvignon Blanc.

The 2021 La Clarté de Haut-Brion will give readers a very good idea of how compelling the vintage is for white wines. The second wine of both La Mission and Haut Brion Blanc, La Clarté offers a beguiling bouquet redolent of lemon confit, orchard fruit, mint and white flowers. Bright and steely, but with an extra kick of mid-palate creaminess, La Clarté is absolutely gorgeous today.

Decanter
A scintillating display of shiny green apples, sweet peas, gooseberry and lime, with a strong citrus character pulling right through the core. It's concentrated and weighty in the mouth, but still bright and fresh, balancing a slight richness and creaminess with succulent acidity.
